Fetching Process of Sunflower Oil
The non-vaporizing oil commonly known as sunflower oil made by compressing the seeds of a sunflower. It is majorly used in cosmetics or food as a frying oil. It is generally at the ease of polyunsaturated fat and oleic acid. It is rich in vitamin E. Sunflower oil is generally prepared by pressing the seeds of the sunflower. There are two methods to get this, one is hard pressing and another one is pressing solvent extraction. In hard pressing, a very high amount of pressure is required for pressing seeds to prepare sunflower oil from solid seeds. From hard pressing, nearly 25% of oil is retrieved from the seeds. In the pressing solvent extraction method, a medium amount of pressure is required to separate oil from the seeds. About 40% of oil is recovered from seeds by this process. The pressing solvent extraction method is used in a typical sunflower crushing plant. The first step is cleaning of seeds and drying which is located in the seed accurse section.
